Aaron Feaver

I came across a shoot by Aaron Feaver a little while back, and I've been a follower ever since.  He is an LA based photographer who has worked with a list of labels and mags as long as ones arm.
After snooping around on the web to find out more about him, I learnt that he originally concentrated on the more technical side of photography, generally shooting landscapes and objects, and only a few of years ago began to work with shooting people and fashion photography partly due to the influence of photographer, Dusdin Condren. He has said in an interview he uses both digital and film, beginning with digital to get the right lighting and exposure, and then takes shots using polaroid or film.  He takes much inspiration from his girlfriend who is a stylist and also a model (that's handy).
I would have to say I am drawn to images from his photography portfolio that take me back to the 60's, with soft washed out images of women in rocky desert landscapes, or fields of flowers and stunning backlight and instant film textures. I'm always a fan of images with superimposed layers and he satisfies this crush for me as well. You can check out his blog 'Feaverish' here, where he has a diary of not just his own work, but images he himself has collected for his own inspiration.  Here are my favourites...
