Part-Time Administration Assistant

The Freedom State is excited to advertise a Part-Time Administration position available within our Burleigh Heads Showroom working Monday to Friday. This position will consist of a minimum 16 hours per week, with extended hours during peak selling times so hours must be flexible.

As the perfect candidate, you will have administration, customer service and data entry skills. You will be able to work autonomously, and take ownership for your role working in the logistics area of the business. You will also be confident in assisting in retail sales if at all necessary. 

This exciting role is a large support to the owner and ecommerce department of the business, so this position will require a complete understanding, and ability to work in all roles of the business if required. We will provide complete training to you in these areas.

This position also gives you an opportunity to train as an intern in Digital Marketing. So basic Photoshop/Illustrator and Social Media skills would be advantageous if you are interested in expanding your role within the team.

 

Company Background

The Freedom State is a boutique based in Burleigh Heads opposite beautiful Burleigh Heads Beach. We have an ecommerce store also, and we sell apparel and accessories that are a mix of bohemian/L.A./beach style. 

You will be working closely along side a small, enthusiastic team who also share the passion and drive for the growth of The Freedom State. Plus you have the opportunity wear to work your favourite brands and liaise with them as well.

 

The Role

This Part-Time Administration Position will include the following responsibilities and duties:

 

  • Ecommerce Customer Service
  • Ecommerce Logistics
  • Stock Inventory Management and Customer Returns
  • Using POS, Shipping and Ecommerce Platforms
  • Social Media
  • Basic Photoshop (training can be provided)
  • Data Entry
  • Administration duties
  • Retail Sales if required to fill in

  

Your Background

To be successful in this role, you thoroughly enjoy working in a fashion retail/ecommerce environment and thrive assisting customers on a day-to-day basis. You will be able to provide a background of experience in administration and/or ecommerce. You will ideally have flexible availability for working extra hours if needed.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to handle busy selling periods as you efficient in completing tasks. You are an amazing at multi-tasking, having the ability to complete administration duties with great attention to detail.

Social Media/Basic Photoshop/Ecommerce/I.T. skills will be highly advantageous, as we would love you to be able to bring us some skills as well.

This role is ideally suited to a candidate looking for long-term employment in a very busy environment, who loves to learn new skills and takes pride in representing The Freedom State brand. There is a strong possibility of this role expanding to other areas of the business as the business grows.
