Dates with your mates in Burleigh Heads

There’s plenty to pull your partner along to on the Gold Coast, but sometimes you need a list of carefree things to do with your girlfriends. We’re a little impartial to Burleigh Heads; a hub of summer energy all year round, rich with vintage threads, great cafes and good surf.  Plus The Freedom State Boutique is just across front Burleigh Heads beach, so we could be a little biased!

GOLOSI FOOD EMPORIUM

Start your morning the right way by popping into local food emporium Golosi. This is one of our favourite spots to just stop and explore, selling all the goods you could ever need for a picnic, plus the baskets to match. The flowers alone are reason enough to pop in, but the food is sure to make you stay.

STONES THROW

If you haven't popped in to see our neighbours in the Old Burleigh Theatre Arcade at Stone's Throw, you're doing yourself a disservice. They're probably the best spot to stop for a poke bowl or midday drinks, depending on your vibe.  A family owned business where you are always guaranteed to walk away with a full tummy and a smile on your dial as the guys at Stones Throw are always so happy to see their customers!

BURLEIGH HEADLAND NATURE WALK 

Grab your girls early and go adventuring around the headland for some panoramic views paired with treetop spots to chill out. The Headland Nature Hike offers good sights and salt therapy, nature’s best medicine. Getting out and moving your body is especially important coming into winter. Get up a little earlier, throw on a sweater and push through the burn. There’s endless breakfast spots to reward yourselves at after.

Got some time to relax?  Head up the road into Big B arcade to Big B Books.  Explore the shelves for something that suits your mood.  Why not borrow a couple to take to a coffee shop or up to the hill and sit under a tree.  You don't get many stores like this anymore!

 BURLEIGH HILL

The Burleigh Hill (John Laws Park) is the best spot to laze about, and not just because it’s a great space for a Sunday sesh. If you head up to the top of the Hill, you’ll have a prime position to perve on all the surfers. Set up a rug and bust out a platter to pick at while you watch the waves roll in and the dudes roll out.
