The Freedom State | Anita Ghise
Anita Ghise x The Freedome State 'Sorrento'
Romanian born, Byron Bay babe Anita Ghise teamed up with the London based and incredibly talented Lydia Collins to show is how she styles a few pieces of our Sorrento collection available in-store and online.
You may recognise Anita on your socials when she has featured in photos or runways for Spell, but she is so much more! This talented girl is a patternmaker, dressmaker, garment technician and content creator. She is also one of the creatives behind Byron Bay label The Andean Collective. Talk about busy!
We were super excited when Anita offered us a chance to work together to create some awesome looks from our latest creation Sorrento.
Our Sorrento collection was born from Mandy's memories of her childhood holidays on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria where she used to love seeing all the older kids hanging at the beach; longing to be a part of the beach hangs but was a little too young. Back then, Bermuda shorts were a must-have paired with a simple white oversized tee, and boat shoes or brogues
were matched very simply, with your look completed with Rayban Wayfarer sunnies.
MARTINS LANE PLAYSUIT - SUNSET
Anita has casually styled our Martins Lane Playsuit in Sunset with a cute animal print bucket hat and her bumbag. We love this throw-on look which is perfect for jumping on a bike for a morning coffee or hitting the local farmers markets. The bumbag adds a little shape to her look while being ultra-functional!
This is my personal fave look! It's amazing how buttoning up the Playsuit completely and adding edgier accessories can give this style an entirely new feel! Anita has matched our Martins Lane Playsuit again with a Dylan Kain bag and belt both in black, plus gorgeous loafers, and there we have a look that is a little more 'city'. Love this Sunset colour matched back with black for a stronger contrast.
Sorrento Shirt and Martins Lane Short-Shorts - Tea
Another look that is perfect for dressier occasions is matching our Sorrento Shirt with our Martins Lane Short-Shorts as a set. In this soft Tea colour, you can take this look from day to night with ease - just had heels as Anita has! Loving how she has the shirt unbuttoned for a flirtier look, showing a little more skin while her sleeves are rolled down (you can roll the sleeves up and secure with button and tabs).
For Anita's last look, she has matched our Martins Lane Shorts in Tea with her own top, shirt and accessories for a casual option again. Easy to style, versatile, and comfortable, these shorts are a great style to have in your wardrobe.
