About rainbow topaz: Rainbow topaz (also known as mystic topaz) is natural topaz finished with a fine coating that creates its iridescent play of colour. Topaz is the November birthstone and sits at 8 on the Mohs hardness scale. To keep the rainbow bright, avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic cleaners and give it a gentle wipe with a soft cloth.
